Happy New Year!

I can't believe it is mid-January already. Actually, I can't believe a new year has begun. What happened to year 2017? It seemed to have just come and go in a blink of an eye.  Time, slow down! Take a break so that we can catch up. Everybody knows that as we get older time seems to move quicker. Do you remember being five years old and the first year of kindergarten took like a century to be over? Well folks, it is because we were innocent and knew no worries, and only had the NOW to appreciate.  So, my goal for this year is to be that little girl. To play and to explore. To have fun! To be so engrossed in the moment that each day is new and precious. To savor the good moments when I have them.  And to spend it with good people.   


A new year means a fresh start.  For me, it begins with a meditation to clear whatever mental blockages I experienced in the previous year and to imagine what I want to accomplish this year.  What is really helping me hone in on my areas of  focus is the program called 'Love your Life Journey' for 30 days by Mike Dooley. It began on January 1st, and each day involves a new activity that helps you reach your goals. Each activity doesn't take too long, only 10 minutes of your time. (I do this before bedtime.) But it is enough to instill new habits and awareness. Even small ones and minor adjustments can have a huge impact. You can start it at anytime. I began mine about a week ago, and so far it has been great. I highly recommend it. Here's the link.
